| Next Vegas trip is going to be the first weekend of November, I will be out there Saturday-Thursday. For the time being I am a party of one, but Hans recently mentioned that he was planning to go one of the first two weekends of November so hopefully he will be able to join me.

| Joann was planning to go but has decided not to. Leon is also not going due to other commitments, and all of the other guys I've talked to are unable to go.

| Once again I am staying at IP. When Joann was planning to go I had reserved Monte Carlo, but since it's just me now and I can stay at IP for HALF what I was going to pay at Monte Carlo, well, can't really justify the extra expense.

| As anyone has been out to Vegas since April probably knows, there is a lot of construction going on in and around the IP since spring. Caesar's announced in mid-September that effective around January 1 Imperial Palace will be renamed "The Quad". I don't know if that means it's going to start getting more expensive to stay there, but I'm still paying just $16-20 and change for all but Saturday night for this trip.

| When last I saw the place in June, smaller buildings on either side were demolished or mostly demolished (a small casino on one side and a mini-strip mall on the other) and most of the front had been surrounded by scaffolding and barriers. I heard from Tommy that as of a couple of weeks ago it's a bit of a pain in the butt to walk past the place and they've barricaded into a lane or two of Las Vegas Blvd, so I'm curious to see how bad it is when I get there.

| The plan for this trip is the same as April, play at Aria for five days unless something else sounds better. For example, I could play in the weekly 7pm HORSE tournament at MGM if they're still running it on Tuesdays. And I did cash at Wynn in April so it's tempting to play there once.

| But OTOH Caesar's fall poker series will be over and I'm pretty well done with the deep stacks at Venetian so unless something great sounding comes up quickly I don't expect to be playing in any big poker series tournaments. |
