| | Only going for 3 days of poker. Heading out Saturday the 8th, returning Tuesday and that will only be a travel day.
| | Staying at Luxor, which is my new go-to for a cheap room. Definitely a few more $$$ than the IP...er...the Quad...er...the Linq (yes, they renamed it again!!!) but 1) I want the points on my MGM card (one of these days I'll get platinum!); and 2) I rarely play outside of Aria any more, and Luxor is a little closer.
| | But having said that, looks like I'm going to play in the seniors event at the Venetian on Sunday. They're guaranteeing $30K, depending on rake that tells me they expect 90-100 players.
| | I've been sticking to smaller buyin tournaments to try and get in a higher volume of tournaments, but I don't see how I can pass this up. It's not like I have to wade through a field of 300-700 to get to money. It starts at 11am, so if I had a bad day I can still make at least one at Aria later in the day. Unfortunately it is a 2-day event, which means if I get to the money 2/3 of my trip gets tied up in one tournament...but if I'm that deep, winning that kind of money, I'll live. | | Post a comment |
